EXPLORE

FUN AT Mt. Cristobal

Trail Difficulty: 4/10

Adventure Duration: 1 day/s

Mt. Cristobal is perhaps the most popular mountain in the Philippines when it comes to ghosts and paranormal stories. There are many hair-raising tales surrounding this mysterious mountain that most locals and some hikers believe to be true. Mt. Banahaw, considered a sacred and peaceful mountain that is also located in Luzon, is said to be the opposite of Mt. Cristobal. Nevertheless, many hikers, who choose to explore this mountain, can prove that Mt. Cristobal is more than just another location for ghost stories.

In terms of difficulty, it is a challenging climb with a difficulty level of 4/10, with ten being the hardest. It is ideal to do it as a day trip, just like what Trail Adventours offers. At the summit try to find the seven lakes of San Pablo that can be seen around the area. Another interesting feature of the adventure is the town at the foot of the mountain which is home to a number of mystic groups and traditions.

Did you know?
Mt. Cristobal has a very rich and dense forest cover and the steep ascents passes through an old volcanic crater!
