Mt. Lobo

Mt. Lobo

EXPLORE

FUN AT Mt. Lobo

Trail Difficulty: 5/10

Adventure Duration: 1 day/s

Lobo is the Tagalog word for ‘wolf,’ a fierce and aggressive animal living in the wild. But contrary to its name, Mt. Lobo is laid-back and calm, a place where people can relax freely and take in the lovely views.

The trail to Mt. Lobo, however, is not recommended for beginners. The difficulty of the trail starts from the road to the foot of the mountain itself. But it will all pay off when you see the diverse environs along the trail. Water sources in the mountain are plentiful; clean and pleasant streams will welcome hikers as they pass through moderately-sloped trails. At the jump-off point, you will be amazed with the number of birds present in the mountain. If you’re fortunate enough, you will also get a glimpse of the monkeys that reside deep in the forest.

Through the trail, you will get a good view of the whole Batangas province. Standing 1,007 meters above sea level, Mt. Lobo can be considered as the highest peak in the town of Lobo, a town that is bound by sea and mountains.
