Mt. Mabilog and Mt. Kalisungan

FUN AT Mt. Mabilog and Mt. Kalisungan

Trail Difficulty: 1/10

Adventure Duration: 1 day/s

Nestled among the seven lakes of San Pablo City, Mount Mabilog (441 meters above sea level) is far from being the tallest mountain in Laguna. But its commanding view and relative ease of access makes it a must-climb for hikers wanting to witness the beauty of the southern Tagalog region.

The great thing about Mt. Mabilog is that there are several ways to tackle it. Those with a taste for adventure and a good sense of direction can take a compass and navigate their own way through the many footpaths, while those that want to follow a set trail also have a few options. All of these paths go through coconut and banana plantations, as well as forests with fruit-bearing trees, giving hikers the opportunity to feast on wild lansones, santol, and guava. You can even purchase fresh buko salad straight from the tree!

The top of Mt. Mabilog is a rounded plateau (hence the name) that works great as a campsite and offers an amazing view of the countryside. From there, you can see the seven lakes to the south, Mt. Banahaw to the east, Mt. Makiling to the west, and everything else in between.
