[Title] => 4 Mystical Lakes of Kabayan
[Content] => Nestled at the foot of the mighty Mt. Pulag is the small and quiet town of Kabayan. This town, known as being mysterious and even eerie, is home to multiple burial caves and the famous Kabayan Mummies but aside from this it secretly hides 4 lakes that are equally mysterious and filled with local folklore and mythology.
These lakes, surrounded by pine and mossy forests and mountains are scenic and peaceful making it ideal for a relaxing camping experience with good friends. At night the sky opens up to a multitude of stars shining brightly, setting the mood for a session of catching a shooting star or just simply sitting by the camp light to exchange stories or to hear your local guides share tales of their forefathers who once ruled the area. All this while you enjoy a warm cup of coffee or a good meal together with amazing comapany. A perfect and meaningfull adventure.
In addition to the lakes we will also be visiting Mt. Timbak, one of the highest peaks in the cordilleras and home to some burial caves.
The hiking required in this adventure is relatively light and pleasant making it ideal for begginer hikers who want to experience camping outdoors.

[Title] => Bakun Trio
[Content] => Sitting on a plateau in the middle of the Cordilleras, the small town of Bakun,Benguet is the perfect setting for a three-day mountain adventure. With its poblacion serving as a base camp, climbers can go on day-hikes to any of the three surrounding mountains: Mt. Lubo with its dense forests, Mt. Kabunian and its hallowed grounds, and Mt. Tenglawan with its long and arduous hike.
Bakun Trio is a three-in-one package, with each mountain offering different experiences and varying degrees of difficulty. But the beauty of the setting and the excitement on the trail are constant. Expect to traverse hanging bridges over raging rivers, see cascading waterfalls splashing down the verdant landscape, and even visit a sacred burial ground shrouded in mist. Of course, breathtaking views from each of the summits are mandatory.
At the end of each day-hike, you’ll be able to take a shower, eat a warm meal, and sleep on a good bed back at the Bakun poblacion. There’s nothing like a hot mug of chocolate in the chilly Cordillera air to cap off a day of adventure.
Did you know?
Mt. Kabunian is named after the highest deity on the Kankana-ey and Ibaloi pantheon of gods. Kabunian is the father of lesser gods and all of mankind.

[Title] => Cleopatra's Needle
[Content] => At 1,593 meters above sea level, Cleopatra’s Needle (named after a natural stone obelisk that is visible from its summit) is the highest mountain in Puerto Princesa City, and the third tallest in Palawan. But this mountain is famous not for its stature, but for its spectacular view of the rest of Palawan Island.
At the start of the three to four-day trek, hikers will need to cross the Tanabag river several times; however, the guides from the local Batak tribe have an intimate knowledge of the river, and can pinpoint the best places to cross. There is also an opportunity to visit the Batak village, where one can marvel at the Pulang Bato section of the river.
After the river, the trail to the summit is straightforward and well-established. During this phase, hikers can take in the astonishing array of flora and fauna that Palawan is known for. Of course, the view from the summit is the crowning glory of the entire climb. With clear skies, you can get an almost 360-degree panorama of Palawan: Mt. Victoria to the south, Mt. Kapoas to the north, and the Puerto Princesa City proper to the southeast.
Did you know?
The Batak tribe, the indigenous inhabitants of Cleopatra’s Needle, has a dwindling population of less than 200. Ecotourism activities such as mountain climbing provide a sustainable source of livelihood for its members.

[Title] => Kibungan Circuit
[Content] => Kibungan, Benguet, is a quiet mountain-top municipality situated just 62 kilometers north of Baguio City. The deep ravines, tall pine ridges, and cool atmosphere give the place the feel of a foreign country – of course, the rice terraces carved into the slope by native hands serve to remind visitors that this scenic town is still very much within the Philippines.
Several trails crisscross the town and its many mountains, including some footpaths that lead down into La Union and Ilocos Sur. But the most popular of these trails is the Kibungan Circuit, which has two variations. Route 1 is an overnight hike that climbs up to Mt. Tagpaya (1,820 meters above sea level). Once at the peak, hikers can climb down a different path that passes by Lungsad Falls. Route 2 is slightly more challenging and can take up an additional day: from Mt. Tagpaya, hikers can continue on to the higher peaks of Mt. Oten (1,875 MASL) and Mt. Tagpew (2,105 MASL).
On a clear day, the Kibungan Circuit offers majestic views of the rest of Benguet Province, and a sweeping panorama of La Union, Ilocos Sur, and the West Philippine Sea. But even without these sights, hikers looking for some peace and tranquility can be assured of a quiet trek through idyllic forests, mountain ridges, and rice terraces.

[Title] => Maragondon Range: Walk with Bonifacio
[Content] => A trail in Maragondon is like a walk through Philippine history. More than the adventure that you will get from trekking and climbing, Maragondon Range will give you the opportunity to get a glimpse of the final moments of one of the most known Philippine heroes, Andres Bonifacio. Maragondon Range is comprised of the two most controversial mountains in Cavite as far as Bonifacio’s life is concerned -- Mt. Buntis and Mt. Nagpatong.
Mt. Buntis, according to the locals, is called such because the mountain is shaped like a pregnant woman -- with Mt. Buntis forming the belly and Mt. Pico de Loro and Mt. Palay Palay forming the face. Rising only for about over a hundred meters above sea level, mountaineers consider Mt. Buntis as a hill more than a mountain. But despite its height, Mt. Buntis is surprisingly forested, biodiverse and graced with occasional presence of wild birds and monkeys. Aside from the flora and fauna present in the mountain, you can also get a nice view of the Mariveles range at the summit of Mt. Buntis. Mt. Nagpatong, on the other hand, is a home to Bonifacio Shrine that has just been recently established. Fortunately, the shrine can be accessed by any type of vehicle that is capable to pass through rough roads. The name of the mountain was taken after a rock that is on top of the mountain, locals say. Both mountains claim to be the exeuction site of the Katipunan's Supremo, Andres Bonifacio.
With less difficulty compared to other mountains in the proximity in Cavite, Mt. Buntis and Mt. Nagpatong are truly must tries most especially if you enjoy having a walk over history. Share life outdoors with us, Trail Adventours.

[Title] => Mt. Amuyao traverse
[Content] => Mt. Amuyao, standing at 2,200 meters above sea level, is one of the highest mountains in the country. It is a very challenging mountain, and therefore popular among seasoned mountaineers. Located in the Mountain Province in the Cordillera Region, Mt. Amuyao offers spectacular vistas of forests, surrounding mountains, and the world-famous rice terraces to those trekking to its peak. However, the journey to the top isn’t easy, so hiking experience—or at least great determination and preparation—is necessary before proceeding with the trip.
After reaching the peak, most hikers set up camp to prepare for the journey the next day. This is just the beginning of the adventure, however; on the way, trekkers will visit several villages, such as Pat-yay, Cambulo, and Batad. In the end, all the effort is worth it, for the dramatic landscape seen from the summit of Mt. Amuyao is reason alone to undertake this demanding climb.

[Title] => Mt. Apo
[Content] => Rising 2956 Meters Above Sea Level, Mt. Apo stands as the highest mountain in the Philippines. Also considered the grandfather of Philippine mountains and a sacred place in local mythology, Mt. Apo is an important climb, especially for local mountaineers. Those seeking to experience its trails will also find themselves immersed in the rich culture of the people living at the foot of the mountain.
With its panoramic views and diverse scenery, Mt. Apo offers an adventure of a lifetime. The area features an array of landscapes, virgin forests, crags, rivers, lakes, mossy swamps, volcanic structures, and crater of sulphuric deposits.
Climbing the country’s summit is not to be taken lightly; the trail to the mountaintop is not advisable for beginners. It takes about three to four days for a hiker to reach the summit and get back to the plains. Yet, the sunrise at the highest point of the Philippines is truly a marvelous sight to behold.
Did you know?
Mt. Apo is the habitat of some of the rarest kinds of animals in the country. If you are lucky, you may even get a close encounter with the Philippine Eagle.

[Content] => One of the highest peaks in the Zambales Coastal Mountains and Coves area, Mt. Balingkilat (known as the “Mountain of Thunder” in the native Aeta language) is an emerging hiking hotspot within San Antonio and Subic. It was also once known as “Pointed peak” used by US Navy servicemen who used to be stationed in Subic Naval Base.
Mt. Balingkilat offers the same rocky, grassy and windy features like other western mountains of Luzon such as Mt. Cinco Picos. With little tree cover, there are also steep parts in the final legs of the trail. Before, it would usually be a two-day affair but a day-hike is much preferable because of the opportunity to climb its “sister mountain,” Mt. CincoPicos, in one weekend. Mt. Balingkilat is a challenging dayhike climb. The challenge is the intense exposure to the sun that makes it difficult to climb. Dim-trekking or hiking in the early morning or late afternoon is the best strategy to climb Mt. Balingkilat.
A breathtaking scene awaits at the top, the South China Sea and its coastline can be seen from north to south. Including beautiful coves like Anawangin, Talesayen, Nagsasa and Silanguin. Other mountains can also be seen at the summit with other scenic ridges.

The mountain is part of the Sierra Madre range, with the jump-off point at Tanay, Rizal – just two hours away from Manila by jeep. The trail takes hikers through rice fields, before commencing on a steep but relatively quick ascent up the mountain face that goes past wooded areas and beautiful rock formations. Near the end of the trail is Mapatag plateau (645 meters above sea level) with its windswept grassland slopes that are excellent for camping and picnics. Those looking for more of a
challenge can continue up the trail to Susong Dalaga peak (780 MASL) where you can possibly catch a glimpse of Mounts Banahaw and San Cristobal further to the south.

[Title] => Mt. Bloomfield
[Content] => Located near the famed Puerto Princesa Underground River, Mt. Bloomfield is a must-climb for mountaineers visiting one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The mountain has the unique distinction of sitting within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts of magnificent views to match.
Most of the trail is composed of ultramafic rocks which can be slippery at times, although the surrounding trees offer enough handholds. Along the way, hikers pass through streams, forests, and a waterfall that come alive during the rainy season. Throughout the climb, hikers are also treated to a wonderful bird’s-eye view of the beaches below.
Just below the summit is Eagle’s Ridge, which offers a stunning sight of nearby Mt. St. Paul, beneath which the underground river lies. On a clear day, one can even see all the way to the mountains in the northern reaches of Palawan Island. The entire trail, with its moderate difficulty, can be completed in less than a day. It is definitely the perfect way to cap off a two-day visit to Sabang beach and the Underground River.

[Title] => Mt. Bromo & Mt. Semeru- Indonesia
[Content] => Imagine: you are standing at the rim of a massive caldera, looking over a vast expanse of sand. In the middle lie seven craters, with Mt. Bromo, an active volcano puffing out wisps of white smoke into a quickly lightening sky. In the distance looms Mt. Semeru, the tallest mountain in Java, spewing out its own plume of ash. As the sunrise crests the eastern rim, the entire vista is suffused in a subtle golden light.
This magical scene awaits those who journey into Indonesia’s Tengger Massif, a volcanic complex born from hundreds of separate eruptions across several millennia. A trip up nearby Mt. Penanjakan on foot or via 4x4 jeep (or even horseback!) brings you the best vantage point to witness the Tengger Massif’s fearsome beauty. Then, you can travel across the “Sea of Sand” to Mt. Bromo and the burning heart of the caldera. After a visit to the Hindu temple at the foot of the
volcano, a short hike up brings you to the very edge of the sulfurous crater.
This trip may not be as physically intensive as others, but a visit to this rugged landscape is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Did you know?
Mt. Bromo is named after the Hindu god Brahma. The volcano is sacred to the local
Tenggerese people, who throw sacrifices of rice, fruit, and livestock into the crater
once a year.

[Title] => Mt. Kanlaon
[Content] => The highlight of the Mt. Kanlaon National Park, Kanlaon Volcano (or Kanlaon or Canlaon) presents an exhilarating experience fraught with danger and excitement at every turn. This mountain is the highest peak in Central Visayas, making it an attractive spot for mountain climbers and hikers from all around. It is also one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines, which contributes to the danger involved, as well as the naturally lush environment and rich, bountiful soil around the mountain. Needless to say, only experienced mountaineers who are willing to take the risk should attempt this challenging adventure, but it’s well worth it by overcoming the challenge and seeing the amazing sighs of Kanlaon.
Trips to Kanlaon mainly utilize the Wasay and Guintubdan trails. The Wasay trail is widely regarded as one of the most demanding and lengthy in Visayas, which involves two days of exhausting hiking to reach the crater. For the first day, hikers will be greeted with rolling hills of dipterocarp forests, then stopping at a campsite along the way. The journey becomes a lot more difficult for the second day, with many local guide calling it the “Killing Me Softly” trail. While challenging, this part of the trip also contains several extravagant vistas to behold such as the Samoc and PMS lagoons, which were older craters of Kanlaon. After the second day, it becomes a lot easier, and there are many possible destinations to visit before descending the mountain.

The mountain has three destinations: Rockies, the summit, and the Grotto, all of which can be covered by a traverse day-hike. The Rockies is the most popular among the three for it stands beside the world-famous Taal Lake. Most climbers head to the Rockies and only 5% of hikers trek the traverse.

[Title] => Mt. Makiling Traverse
[Content] => The Makiling Traverse is the perfect outing for those looking for the rush of a challenging hike, but are too busy for a two to three-day expedition. The traverse takes you through the rugged terrain and untamed rainforests of the famous Maria Makiling, all within a day and in close proximity to Manila.
Makiling has plenty of surprises in store for hikers of every background. The trail goes through well-preserved forests teeming with wildlife, including plenty of limatik (leeches) that make the hike interesting. Parts of the trail are very narrow and can be described as “obstacle courses” that force you to do a bit of stretching and contorting. The most challenging portion is the steep ascent up Melkas Ridge that requires hikers to grab on to fixed ropes and loose branches in order to help
themselves up.
After climbing Makiling’s twin peaks, the descent down the other side of the mountain provides a glimpse of Los Banos and the nearby towns, as well as of Laguna Lake. Near the bottom is the Makiling nursery where tired hikers can buy refreshments such as fresh buko juice. You can also relax at the mudsprings heated by Makiling’s sulfuric vents.
If you’ve got a day to spare and are looking for a quick adventure, then the Makiling Traverse may just be the best way to spend it.

[Content] => Mt. Manabu is an ideal hiking destination, especially for beginners. Located in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, the name of this beautiful mountain is a portmanteau of the Tagalog phrase “Mataas na Bundok,” which means “a mountain that is high.” Mt. Manabu’s name suits it perfectly because the higher parts of the mountain are usually covered in clouds.
The easy access to the peak as well as the short distance makes this trek ideal for beginners. The mountain is relatively easy, leaving you more time to enjoy the sights along the way. A white cross atop the peak marks the highest point of the mountain, and trekkers will find that the area resembles a park.
Along the way to the summit, several stations are available for stops or camping. The easy traverse has its trails covered by forests and interesting vegetation. It also passes through local residences that offer fruits, vegetables, and locally grown coffee for sale.

Mt. Marami is often compared to Mt. Pico de Loro because both have enormous rocks and massive composite of pillars and towers. The name of the mountain is coined from the Tagalog term “marami” because the mountain is composed mainly of numerous gigantic rocks. The open trail of the mountain will lead you to experience the “Silyang Bato” which can be found on the summit. If Pico de Loro has Parrot’s Peak, Mt. Marami has Silyang Bato, a gigantic composite of rock pillars that offers a spectacular 360° view of Cavite. Mt. Marami is more challenging than Mt. Pico de Loro.
Mt. Marami, a 3-hr drive from Manila is the definitely a must-try mountain if you have already conquered Mt. Pico de Loro. Mt. Marami and Mt. Pico de Loro share the same characteristics and difficulty. If you want to experience adventure, then come share life outdoors with us, Trail Adventours.

[Content] => Mt. Mayon is one of the most remarkable mountain in the Philippines due to its perfect conical shape. There is only two mountains in the world that is renowned for this, Mt. Fuji in Japan being the other one. It is the perfect backdrop in the Bicol Peninsula of the Cagsawa Ruins. In fact, it is the most active volcano in the Philippines with no less than 46 volcanic activity occurring after 1814 after the eruption that killed thousands and resulted to Cagsawa ruins. Mayon is the central story in Bicol mythology and is regarded as a result of the undying love of the princess named Magayon and a warrior named Handiong. Mayon, just like Makiling and Arayat are feminine in legends whereas, Kanlaon and Apo were attributed to male deities.
The trek up Mayon is a breathtaking experience filled with an exciting adventure and the thrill that it can erupt anytime. The trek starts at the PHIVOLCS office in Tabaco, Albay and from then trekkers will enter a grassland and a ravine formed by an ancient lava flow and at the end is the first campsite. A striking view at the summit crater awaits including the view of Mt. Isarog, M.t Bulusan, Catanduanes and the bodies of water that surrounds the archipelago. It is one of the most popular climbing and tourist destination in the country.

[Title] => Mt. Nagsasa and Nagsasa Cove
[Content] => Mt. Nagsasa also known as Mt. Bira-Bira as the locals call it, delivers the most scenic views the province of Zambales has to offer. As part of the Zambales Coastal Mountains and Coves (ZCMC), Mt. Nagsasa is part of a mountain range that includes taller mountains like Mt. Balingkilat and Mt. Cinco Picos. Hikers can expect to see beautiful wide-open trails, grassy slopes, and picturesque coves.
Compared to its taller neighbors, Mt. Nagsasa is more forgiving in terms of difficulty, steepness, and trail length; but it still offers enough challenge for beginners and a fulfilling experience for intermediate and advanced hikers. The reward when you reach the climb the summit is immense, as you get the chance to catch the sunrise on the top of the mountain. Mt. Nagsasa also delivers a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain range of Zambales, and ultimately, your next destination: the beautiful Nagsasa Cove.
At the cove, you can unwind and enjoy the pristine beach after the long walk. Swimming at the beach is highly recommended, since there's no better way to reward one's tired body than a relaxing dip at the sea. Another highlight to end the day is the boat ride going back to Pundaquit, where everyone can enjoy the views of the other coves and mountains of Zambales along the way. This is the ultimate sea-to-summit experience that you cannot miss!

[Title] => Mt. Paliparan & TungTong falls
[Content] => With its lime stone cliffs, scenic views, caves, woodlands, and waterfalls it is no surprise that Mt. Paliparan with TungTong falls is now a destination eager to be visited by outdoor enthusiast. Just located two hours away from Manila it’s a surprise how one can experience all this in just one day.
Mt. Paliparan, named as such by its early ancestors, the Dumagat, came from the practice of kite-fights were the winner would win a reward. The reward would usually be crops or livestock. The area has its history too. During the Japanese occupation, the natives would evade the Japanese soldiers and hide on the numerous caves in the area. Another highlight of the trek is the immersion with the Dumagat tribe. But that’s not all. The last part of the trail would be taking a dip in the relaxing waters of Tungtong falls.

For those who want to experience something new, Mt. Pamitinan has a minor bouldering part which makes this destination challenging for some beginners. Along the trail, one will even see huge balete trees, bamboo trees and at the top some would see glimpse of eagles flying by.
If time permits, you can even go caving at the Binacayan Cave. Some locals would say it used to be one of the hiding place of the Katipuneros during the Spanish occupation.

[Content] => With its volcanic white sand, pristine waters, and pine trees, Anawangin Cove is a striking beach destination for outdoor-lovers. Because of its seclusion, it is most easily accessed via motorboat. But if you’re feeling adventurous, the nearby Mt. Pundaquit offers a great opportunity for you to climb a mountain and hit the beach, all in one go.
The Pundaquit traverse to Anawangin starts off at one of Zambales’ many lahar fields, then proceeds across a few streams and riverbeds. The ascent up the grassy slopes of the mountain offers little shade, but affords good views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. Cresting the summit (464 meters above sea level) reveals a fantastic view of the West Philippine Sea and Anawangin Cove with its inviting white sands. After a two-hour descent, the cove’s cool waters feel like a prize at the end of a journey. And really, what could be more rewarding than relaxing on a white sand beach and taking a dip after a long, tiring trek?
After getting your strength back, you can go on to do some sight-seeing in nearby Capones Island, pitch a tent and spend the night on the cove, or call it a day and head back to the jump-off point via motorboat.
Did you know?
The name Anawangin is derived from the wild nuang (Ilocano for carabao) that graze freely on Mt. Pundaquit’s slopes.

[Title] => Mt. Purgatory
[Content] => Despite its ominous name, Mt. Purgatory and its accompanying peaks make for a wonderful trekking experience across the Cordilleras. Spanning 25 kilometers and a total of four peaks, the trail is sure to satisfy those who can’t get enough of that amazing mountain atmosphere.
The trail follows old rough roads and well-established footpaths running up and down the mountains, and takes hikers across seemingly endless swathes of mesmerizing pine and mossy forests. Each of the different peaks – with the highest being Mt. Kokompol at 2,329 meters above sea level – opens up to tantalizing vistas of the surrounding Cordillera Mountains. Along the way, you can easily spot notable landmarks such as Mt. Pulag (you can even spot some of the hikers there on a clear day) and Mt. Sto. Tomas, with some parts of Baguio City visible.
All in all, the trail takes two to three days to finish. At the end of the long journey, hikers will feel not as if they were in purgatory, but like they had just been on cloud 9.
Did you know?
The mountain was christened by an American logging supervisor who had described the difficult working conditions in the area as akin to “being in purgatory.”

[Content] => The once haven of NPA insurgents is now a popular hiking destination. Mt. Sembrano is located in Pililia, Rizal at the Jalajala peninsula. It is a challenging dayhike and the trails may take you 3-4 hours to climb. Locals selling coconut juice are aplenty at the wide rough road with rocky path that signals the start of the trek. The trail is abundant of mango trees similar to an orchard and a campsite is located here. Hikers will enjoy the view of the Laguna Lake and within an hour an a half there will be a grassland. The North Peak is the first high point and many hikers prefer to camp in here then it will take you 30 minutes to reach the South Peak or the summit with the visible trail outline.
The view at the peak is scenic and best viewed at late afternoon. Although the challenge in the trail is the heat of the sun and the occasional grass overgrowth that may obstruct the view. The Laguna Lake, Sierra Madre, Talim Island, Banahaw Trilogy, Mt. Makiling and the distant Mt. Arayat view awaits the hikers at the top.

Janosa in Binangonan, Rizal to the island of Talim. Mt. Tagapo, most commonly known by its locals by its playful name; Mt. Susong Dalaga (Maiden’s Breast Mountain) stands at 438 MASL and rewards its climbers with a spectacular view of the Laguna Bay and its surrounding fishing villages. The mountain is surrounded with bamboo which the locals living on the island live from. The people of Talim Island use bamboo to produce products such as furniture, toothpicks, and charcoal. The name Mt. Tagapo came from the word “taga” which means “to chop” with reference to the activities of chopping bamboo that are scattered around the mountain.
Mt. Tagapo may not be as tall as other mountains in the Philippines but it definitely does not mean it offers half the fun. Trekking towards Mt. Tagapo’s summit is like having a 2hr walk in the middle of a grove that is field with flowering plants and greeneries.
Be rewarded of the experience of travelling to Mt. Tagapo and the feeling of reaching its peak with Trail Adventours.

Standing at 2,037 meters above sea level, it has one of highest elevation gains in the country (almost 1900m!). Hiking up Mt. Tapulao is a rewarding experience as it offers a diverse range of environs, from grasslands, to pines forests and mossy forests. Be awed with the views along the pine forest, which is relatively pristine and comparable to those found in the Cordilleras. Be amazed at the sea of
clouds during your summit assault!
Be prepared for a challenging two-day hike. The trail itself is not very steep (mining trucks used to go up the campsite in Tapulao) but the sheer distance of 18kms to the summit will test your mental strength. The temperature can range from hot in the lower parts to freezing near the campsite and summit. Truly, a challenge for every mountaineer out there.

[Title] => Mt. Victoria
[Content] => Mount Victoria in Narra, Palawan, is one of the “last frontiers for Philippine mountaineering.” Standing at 1,726 meters above sea level, it is the second tallest mountain in Palawan. It remains relatively unscaled and unexplored, and is home to a variety of plants and animals that can only be found on its slopes.
Climbing the mountain can be difficult, even for veteran hikers, as the trail involves several river crossings and a few near-vertical rock faces. All told, an expedition to the summit requires a minimum of three days.
But the adventure and sense of exploration that Mount Victoria inspires makes up for the challenge. The mountain has at least two peaks that can be scaled, and a few others that have yet to be traversed. There are plenty of opportunities to sight wild boars and other creatures, as well as exotic flora, such as the famous rat-eating pitcher plant. As it is home to the Tagbanua tribe, a trek up the mountain also offers a chance to interact with the native community.
A journey up Mount Victoria is a dream come true for any would-be explorer, full of unique plants and animals, and new trails just waiting to be discovered.
Did you know?
Discovered in 2007, the giant carnivorous pitcher plant (nepehenthes attenboroughii) is endemic to Mount Victoria and is said to be as big as a man’s arm.

[Content] => At 6,750 above sea level, Mt. Guiting Guiting is not nearly one of the tallest peaks in the country and yet it is one of the most sought after mountains in the record of Philippine Mountaineering. Dubbed by some local and international natural scientists as the “Galapagos of Asia,” Mt. Guiting Guiting boasts of its thick and old growth vegetation and forests. Sure enough, the mountain doesn’t have the freezing temperatures in Pulag or the height of Apo and yet it has caught the attention and gained the respect of mountaineers.
Mt. Guiting Guiting is notable for its rocky ridges -- three of the few are the “Knife Ridge,” “Kiss the Wall,” and the “Peak of Deception.” The rocky ridges are all steep and jagged and definitely sharp. You should be very careful on where to step and where to hold on the rocks.
Located in one of the three major islands of Romblon province, Sibuyan Island, Mt. Guiting Guiting is considered as one of the most difficult and challenging mountains in the country. Only mountaineers with enough stamina are advised to try the challenge that Mt. Guiting Guiting holds. Are you ready to share life outdoors with us at Mt. Guiting Guiting?

[Title] => Mt.Ugo to Mt.Pulag Traverse
[Content] => For mountaineers that have conquered the toughest peaks Luzon has to offer but are still looking for a little extra: look no further than the Ugo-Pulag Traverse. This six-day, long distance trek takes you from Mt. Ugo (2,150 meters) on the border of Benguet and Neuva Vizcaya to the summit of Mt. Pulag (2,922 meters) – the highest point in all of Luzon – on a 90 kilometer trail spanning the rugged terrain of the Cordillera Mountains.
This “megatraverse” showcases the best of the Cordilleras: challenging ascents up steep slopes; strolls through enchanting mossy forests; pine trees as far as the eye can see; and breathtaking vistas all the way through. Expect to cross a dozen precarious hanging bridges, marvel at the occasional hidden waterfalls, and walk alongside the fabled rice terraces.
One aspect that sets this traverse apart from the others is its focus on culture. The trek utilizes “living trails” used by the locals and indigenous tribes in their day-today lives. Campsites are strategically located in several villages scattered throughout the route, allowing hikers to mingle with people and imbibe the way of life in the Cordilleras.
Whether you’re looking for a totally immersive mountain experience, or simply a good old-fashioned challenge, the Ugo-Pulag Traverse will definitely not disappoint.

[Title] => Osmena Peak traverse to Kawasan Falls
[Content] =>
Situated 85 kilometers away from Cebu City, is Osmena Peak, the highest peak in Cebu at 1013 MASL. It remains a favorite among Cebuanos because of its multiple peaks resembling Bohol's Chocolate Hills. The highest point can easily be reached from the base of the mountain in 15-20mins. But this adventure does not end at the summit, rather a traverse to the beautiful Kawasan Falls is to be done.
Along the trail to Kawasan, locals can be seen carrying heavy loads of vegetables. This trail is mostly downhill and could get slippery when it rains. Due to majority of the trail being open, it is advisable to keep hydrated, and to bring umbrella and other sun protection as the sun can be piercing by noon.
After the long 6-hour traverse from Osmeña Peak, the best way to cap off the adventure is to reward yourself with a dip into the cold, refreshing waters of Kawasan Falls. We suggest you take on a bamboo raft and get that well-deserved natural massage from the falls. Sit back, unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Locals in turn named the ridge Tarak, an amalgam of “Tabak” (hunting knife) and “Tarik” (steep). The climb is actually moderate to hard, in terms of difficulty. The dramatic landscape of the ridge continues to attract more mountaineers every year to Tarak Ridge. From here, hikers can see Bataan, the nearby islands of Corregidor, as well as Manila Bay and Cavite. This is definitely one of the most outstanding treks to be made.
Only the first part of the trail is easy, after which the trek is pure and steep ascents.. The plains are usually burned during the summer months in kaingin (slash and burn). For those who haven’t been to Tarak Ridge since 2006, the typhoons of that year have damaged some sections of the trail, that holding on to roots and branches are needed in some parts. One of the stops is at Papaya River, where hikers can take a breather before continuing on to Tarak Ridge. It takes 2-3 hours from the Papaya River to reach the summit

[Content] => The province of Laguna is a popular destination for people looking for a relaxing weekend getaway because of it's numerous hot springs and delicous rice delicacies. But this does not mean Laguna is lacking in adventures and trekking to it's numerous waterfalls is one outdoor activity you can do.
The Waterfall Circuit version 2 visits 3 beautiful waterfalls in Laguna. First to be visited is the 72 meter high Hulugan Falls which is the highest in Laguna. Hulugan Falls is majestic as water trickles and spreads down it's slopes. Talay falls is a much smaller falls but is worth a visit especially to thrill seekers as it's basin has parts as deep as 40ft making it more than enough to do cliff dives. Lastly you will vsit the Hidden Falls, aptly named because it take more effort to get here. But the trek will be worth the effort as a multi-layered and massively wide waterfall greets you at the end of the trek.
Trail Adventours beckons you to join the Waterfall Circuit version 2 adventure and have a blast visiting 3 amazing waterfalls in a day.
