Bakun Trio

The beauty of Bakun!

FUN AT Bakun Trio

Trail Difficulty: 7/10

Adventure Duration: 3 day/s

Sitting on a plateau in the middle of the Cordilleras, the small town of Bakun,Benguet is the perfect setting for a three-day mountain adventure. With its poblacion serving as a base camp, climbers can go on day-hikes to any of the three surrounding mountains: Mt. Lubo with its dense forests, Mt. Kabunian and its hallowed grounds, and Mt. Tenglawan with its long and arduous hike.

Bakun Trio is a three-in-one package, with each mountain offering different experiences and varying degrees of difficulty. But the beauty of the setting and the excitement on the trail are constant. Expect to traverse hanging bridges over raging rivers, see cascading waterfalls splashing down the verdant landscape, and even visit a sacred burial ground shrouded in mist. Of course, breathtaking views from each of the summits are mandatory.

At the end of each day-hike, you’ll be able to take a shower, eat a warm meal, and sleep on a good bed back at the Bakun poblacion. There’s nothing like a hot mug of chocolate in the chilly Cordillera air to cap off a day of adventure.

Did you know?
Mt. Kabunian is named after the highest deity on the Kankana-ey and Ibaloi pantheon of gods. Kabunian is the father of lesser gods and all of mankind.

We will first use a public provincial bus to Baguio then take a chartered local jeepney.

3. Can I bring my own transportation?
Yes you can but please be at the meet up point either in Baguio or at the Bakun jump off point on the designated time. We do not advice this though as the drive is long and tiring and the roads are difficult to navigate for those unfamiliar with the place.

The meet-up is in the Vistory Line Bus Terminal in PASAY(take note that there are other terminals). This station is located at the South Bound Lane of E.D.S.A. in Pasay.

Aside from your Adventure Guides reaching you via your mobile phones your Adventure Guides will be in Trail Adventours shirts with a big "Adventure Guide" printed at the back of their shirts. It may also help to ask people dressed as hikers gathered in certain area of the meet-up point.
