Overview

One of the world's most legendary treks, Annapurna Base Camp attracts outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers all-year round for its exciting once in a lifetime experience. The actual base camp sits at a majestic height of 4130m (13546ft.) but even before reaching it, you get rewarded with breathtaking mountain views, beautiful sunrises, lush vegetation and an intimate sneak peek into Nepali local life.

  • Day 2

  • 07:00 AM Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m) Duration: 6 hrs. / We set off for a long drive to Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal. The scenery throughout the drive is dramatic as we witness rivers, valleys, cascading rice terraces and rocky gorges. As soon as we arrive in Pokhara we check in our hotel and explore Pokhara.

  • Day 3

  • 07:00 AM Pokhara - Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m) Duration: 4 hrs / After breakfast we drive to Nayapul, the jump-off point of our Annapura Base Camp Adventure! The trail to Tikhu Dhunga will pass by the village of Birethanti and through bamboo forests and waterfalls among others.

  • Day 4

  • 08:00 AM Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) Duration: 7 hrs / From Tikhe Dhunga we trek to Ghorapeni, a marvellous place where we can witness a panoramic view of the great Nepal mountains such as Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), and Annapurna I (8091m) among others. The trail to Ghorapeni passes by suspension bridges, pastures and cultivated fields, streams, the villages of Nangethanti and of the Margar people of Ulleri.

  • Day 5

  • 04:00 AM Hiking - Poonhill (3180m), trek to Tadapani (2500m) Duration: 6-7 hrs / We wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise in Poon Hill, one of the major destinations for those visiting Pokhara. In Poon Hill you have the chance to witness a superb sunrise over the panoramic vista of the Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, among many others. After Poon Hill we head back to Ghorepani for breakfast and to prepare for the trek to Tadapani.

  • Day 6

  • 08:00 AM Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m/6625ft) Duration: 5 hours / We shall descend down the precipitous trail as we leave Tadapani. We trek to Chomrong and walk the wonderful and crazy trail of woodland and forest as we reach Gung, the village of the Gurung people.

  • Day 7

  • 08:00 AM Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) Duration: 5 hours / The trail will continue to lead us to Chhomrong Khola and then climb to Khuldighar which is elevated at 2380m. The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) check-post is situated here. From here, the trail is a continuous descent until we reach Dovan.

  • Day 8

  • 08:00 AM Dovan to Deurali (3200m/10500ft) Duration: 4 hours / Our continuation of the trail is covered with emerald and jaded bamboo forests, with the peak of blossoming rhododendrons as we trek to Deurali. We shall pass the Himalayan Hotel and trek on to Hinko (3020m) with trails lined with petrified trees and burnt sienna foliage. Deurali lies above the ridges of Hinko. The trail leading from Hinko to Deurali is the one which is most susceptible to avalanches.

  • Day 9

  • 08:00 AM Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m) Duration: 5 hrs / Today is the day that we reach the Annapurna Base Camp! Along the way we will pass past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp to the Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. Marvel on all the grand mountains with all its beauty.

  • Day 10

  • 08:00 AM AM Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m) Duration: 7 hrs / We wake up early the morning and experience the sunrise as it hits the surrounding mountains. This is one of the best experiences one could ever have. After breakfast, we descend the same trail as it drops by 1,700m to the banks of Modi Khola at Bamboo where we will be spending the night.

  • Day 11

  • 08:00 AM Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1780m) Duration: 6 hrs / Today, we will follow the same trail until Chommrong. The trail continues through the rhododendrons and bamboo fields to Chhomrong then descends very steeply to the Jhinu hot spring. Here we can bathe in the natural hot springs to rejuvenate our tired muscles.

  • Day 12

  • 09:00 AM Jhinu Danda to Nayapul to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) Duration: 2 hours / From Jhinu hot springs, we advance on the right side of Modi Khola for two hours until we reach our 4x4 jeepneys which will take us back to Nayapul. From here we continue the drive until we reach back Pokhara. We check in and then explore the city.

  • Day 13

  • This day is a free day to explore Pokhara and try activities like Skydiving or Paragliding. Free and easy.

  • Day 14

  • 07:00 AM Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu / This day is another free day to explore Pokhara before we drive back to Kathmandu.

  • Day 15

  • 05:00 PM Farewell (leave at night)
