Overview

Snow Mountain is the most beautiful mountain in Taiwan, at 3886 MASL and 1000 meters higher than Mt. Apo and Mt. Pulag. Hikers, who want to experience a high altitude climb in a semi-temperature country, may choose this aside from Mt. Kinabalu.

Hiking is best during spring and autumn where participants will not just experience the beauty of Snow Mountain but Wuling Farm and the city of Taipei as well. The scenic and prominent Wuling farm is the pre-side trip of the hike where high-mountain fruits, vegetables, and teas are grown and harvested by retired servicemen. Taoshan waterfalls create an oasis of tranquillity; learn about the protected landlocked salmon in Qijawan Creek and taste the farm’s fresh produce temperate-zone produce. Wuling farm is the home of a very rare variety of fish on the verge of extinction. Paired with its breathtaking mountain panoramas, the cherry blossoms are a sight to behold. Coordinators will also take you to the Zhongshan Street in Taipei where affordable alpine gears are available.

The Snow Mountain experience is indeed an exhilarating one since it’s a mid-high altitude climb and the side-trips will prepare you for the climb and will let you experience Taipei at its best.

Day 0
10:00 PM Depart for Taipei, Taiwan.
Day 1
12:10 AM Arrive Taipei at 12:10AM. Head to hostel and check in.
07:00 AM Free time to go around Taipei.
02:00 PM Meet up in Taipei Main Stataion.
03:00 PM Depart to Wuling farm. Check in. Overnight.
Day 2
06:00 AM Wake up call. Breakfast. Depart for Snow Mountain jump-off point.
07:45 AM ETA Jump off point. Orientation. Start trek to 369 hut.
09:00 AM ETA Chiqa hut. Continue ascend.
05:00 PM ETA 369 Hut. Dinner. Overnight.
06:30 PM Lights out as we prepare for the summit assault the next day.
Day 3
07:00 AM Breakfast. Start trek.
09:30 AM Enter Black forest. Continue trek to summit.
11:30 AM ETA Summit. Enjoy the view and explore the summit.
12:00 PM Lunch. Descend back to 369 Hut.
04:00 PM ETA 369 Hut. Rest. Dinner and Overnight.
06:30 PM Lights out.
Day 4
06:30 AM Breakfast. Final preparation for the descent.
07:30 AM Descend to jump-off point.
12:01 PM ETA jump-off point. Tidy up and depart for Taipei. Lunch along the way.
04:00 PM ETA Taipei. Free Time.
09:00 PM Depart for airport.
Day 5
01:25 AM Depart to Manila. Flight that leaves Taipei at 01:25 AM arriving Manila at 03:40 AM
