Mt. Kotkot Traverse

Overview

A raw and scenic Cordillera ridge traverse
Hidden deep in the mountains of Itogon, Mt. Kotkot offers a more rugged and less crowded alternative to the usual Cordillera day hikes. This traverse is known for its long ridge walks, exposed sections, and continuous mountain views that stretch across Benguet’s highlands.
Unlike shorter summit hikes, Mt. Kotkot is a full mountain adventure that begins in forested trails, climbing into pine-covered ridges, and opening into long exposed traverses where hikers are rewarded with uninterrupted views of surrounding peaks and valleys.
On clear days, you may catch views of nearby Cordillera giants such as Mt. Pulag, Mt. Ugo, and other unnamed Benguet ridgelines rolling into the horizon.
