Overview

Mt. Guiting-Guiting, also known as G2, is one of the most prominent mountains in the Philippines. Standing at 2,058 masl, this mountain located in the province of Romblon is a mountaineer’s dream. 
Known as one of the most difficult mountains in the country, its name, "Guiting-Guiting," is derived from the local Sibuyanon word meaning "jagged," which describes its rugged and steep slopes. This terrain is part of the trail which also includes dense forests, rocky cliffs, and narrow ridges. This hike is recommended for experienced hikers due to its difficult and technical trails.
Aside from its trails, Mt. Guiting-Guiting is also known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Its rich and diverse flora and fauna is one of a kind.

  • 02:00 PM ETA Batangas port.

  • 04:00 PM Ferry ride to Ambulong port, Sibuyan

  • Day 1

  • 05:00 AM ETA Arrival in Sibuyan.

  • 06:00 AM Breakfast and orientation at the DENR station.

  • 08:00 AM Start trek. Lunch along the trails.

  • 04:00 PM ETA Mayo’s peak. Camp

  • 05:30 PM Sunset viewing

  • 06:30 PM Dinner

  • Day 2

  • 05:00 AM Breakfast. Final preparation.

  • 06:00 AM Start summit assault

  • 07:00 AM Pass by ‘Knife Edge’

  • 08:30 AM ETA “Kiss the Wall”

  • 09:30 AM Arrival at Mabel Spring (water not always available)

  • 11:00 AM ETA G2 summit (2057 MASL)

  • 12:00 PM Start descent.

  • 04:00 PM Back at Mayo’s Peak

  • 06:00 PM Dinner

  • Day 3

  • 06:30 AM Breakfast. Break camp.

  • 08:30 AM Start descent

  • 02:00 PM Back at jumpoff. Prepare for side trip at Crista de Gallo

  • Day 4

  • 09:00 AM Free time in Sibuyan

  • 04:00 PM Head back to Port

  • 07:00 PM Ferry ride back to Batangas port

  • 08:00 PM ETA Batangas port. Head back to Manila

  • Day 5

  • 09:00 PM March 6: ETA Batangas Port. Head back to Manila.
