Overview

Nestled within the majestic landscapes of the Cordillera Region, Mt. Amuyao is a towering mountain standing at 2,200 meters above sea level. This iconic mountain in the Mountain Province promises unparalleled panoramas of lush forests, neighboring peaks, and the renowned rice terraces that adorn the region, offering a visual feast to those who embark on its trails. Scaling Mt. Amuyao demands more than just physical exertion; it requires a blend of hiking expertise, determination, and patience to enjoy its rugged trails and terrain. 

This adventure begins and ends in two UNESCO World Heritage sites, Batad and Mayoyao rice terraces.
The hike starts in Batad, famous for its ampitheater like terraces. Along the way, hikers pass through charming villages like Cambulo and Pat-yay where two nights will be spent. At the end of the hike, waiting is the stunning Mayoyao rice terraces, known for its beauty and wonder.

  • 08:00 PM Meet up and registration in Manlia.

  • 09:00 PM Depart for Banaue

  • Day 1

  • 06:00 AM Breakfast in Banaue. Head to Mayoyao after.

  • 10:30 AM ETA Mayoyao village. Start trek to the village of Pa-yay.

  • 12:00 PM Lunch on one of the huts.

  • 02:30 PM ETA Mayoyao village. Rest and easy. Early lights out for the summit assault the following day.

  • Day 2

  • 12:30 AM Light breakfast. Start trek to summit.

  • 06:30 AM Summit viewing of Mt. Amuyao. Explore the summit.

  • 08:30 AM Start descent.

  • 03:00 PM ETA Pat-yay village. Rest and easy.

  • Day 3

  • 04:00 AM Wake up call. Breakfast.

  • 05:30 AM Start trek to Batad.

  • 10:30 AM ETA Cambulo village. Early lunch..

  • 11:30 AM Continue trek to Batad.

  • 03:00 PM ETA Batad. If time permits, head to Tapiyah falls.

  • 05:30 PM ETA Batad. Wash up.

  • 07:30 PM Drive back to Manila.

  • 08:00 PM Arrive back in Manila on Day 4 at around 04:00 AM
