Overview


Mt. Talinis, also known as the Cuernos de Negros, is one of Negros Oriental’s prominent mountains. This two-day adventure takes us through lush forests, volcanic landscapes, lakes and waterfalls as we explore the mountain’s beautiful natural surroundings.

We’ll camp overnight at Yagumyum Lake, visit the sulfur vents and Twin Falls, and continue to Nailig Lake and the summit area on our second day. With challenging trails and rewarding views, Mt. Talinis is a great adventure for hikers looking to explore more of the Philippines’ beautiful mountains.

• This is a challenging major climb. Participants should have sufficient hiking experience and fitness.
• Summit access and the final route are subject to local guide and safety assessments.

  • Day 1

  • 04:30 AM Meet up at Ceres Bus Terminal, Dumaguete

  • 06:00 AM ETA at jump-off point.

  • 06:30 AM Start hike.

  • 09:30 AM ETA at Yagumyum Lake. Set up camp.

  • 11:30 AM Hike to the sulfur vents and Twin Falls. Lunch.

  • 03:30 PM Arrival back at Yagumyum Campsite. Free time to explore the lake.

  • 07:00 PM Dinner.

  • Day 2

  • 05:00 AM Wake-up call and breakfast.

  • 06:30 AM Start hike to Nailig Lake.

  • 08:30 AM ETA at Nailig Lake.

  • 09:00 AM Proceed to the summit. Explore the area and start descent.

  • 12:00 PM ETA at Yagumyum Lake. Lunch

  • 01:30 PM Hike back to the jump-off point.

  • 03:30 PM ETA at Bidjao jump-off point. Wash up and prepare for departure.

  • 06:00 PM ETA at meetup point, Dumaguete.
