Overview

Crown Jewel of the South
Nestled in the heart of South Cotabato at an elevation of 1,756 meters above sea level is Lake Holon. Known as the “Crown Jewel of the South,” this pristine crater lake offers a breathtaking view that captivates anyone who visits it. Surrounded by lush forest and ridges, the lake with its stillness reflects the sky, creating a peaceful scenery.

The hike to Lake Holon is an adventure in itself. With its moderately challenging trails with steep sections, possible stream crossings, and forested trails you will also be riding a motorbike and a boat to make it to the campsite. On this trip, we will be passing by the two trails. The Kule and Salacafe trail, each offering a different kind of adventure. On both trails, hikers are rewarded with different scenic viewpoints.

Whether you're camping by the calm waters, witnessing the sunrise above the lake, or simply soaking in the serenity, Lake Holon is definitely a meaningful experience.
Note: This 2-day trip is available from Sunday to Friday only. Weekend trips (Saturday to Sunday) are not offered.

07:30 AM Arrival at Tboli Tourism Office. Registration and briefing.
09:00 AM Travel to Salacafe/Kule jump-off point. Orientation and final reminders.
12:00 PM Lunch along the trail.
02:00 PM ETA campsite. Set up camp and rest.
06:00 PM Dinner and socials.
Day 2
06:00 AM Coffee and free time to explore Lake Holon.
08:00 AM Breakfast.
10:00 AM Start descent via Salacafe Trail.
02:00 PM Travel back.
09:00 PM ETA Davao City.
