Overview

One of the most recently active volcanoes in the country, Mt. Bulusan which is located in the province of Sorsogon in the Bicol Region offers thrill seekers and adventurers an experience that surely they won’t forget. Having just recently erupted last 2012, Mt. Bulusan is now open again for hiking and trekking. The volcano is a magnificent site to see because of the scenery it possesses which can be compared to the surface found in Mars. Standing at 1565 masl, Mt. Bulusan sure is challenging for seasoned and veteran climbers.



The climb and trek towards the summit of the volcano starts from kayaking through the famous Bulusan Lake. The rewards that Mt. Bulusan offers to its visitors include the rich biodiversity of flora and fauna that covers the premises and the hot springs that are scattered around the volcano’s bounds. Of course, what mountain adventure can be completed without a breathtaking view from the summit? Mt. Bulusan is home to marvellous scenery that can be seen from its summit that is sure to make every climber’s experience memorable and rewarding.

  • Day 1

  • 10:00 AM ETA Bulusan lake. Registration. Orientation.

  • 11:30 AM Start of Kayak/boat to Jump off point

  • 12:01 PM ETA Jump off point. Start trek

  • 01:30 PM ETA Ranger Station / Tree planting stop. Lunch

  • 04:00 PM ETA ETA Lake Aguingay / Set up camp.

  • 07:00 PM Dinner.

  • 08:30 PM Lights Out.

  • Day 2

  • 03:00 AM Breakfast.

  • 03:30 AM Start summit assault.

  • 07:00 AM ETA Summit. Explore the crater.

  • 08:15 AM Start descent.

  • 10:30 AM Back at Camp site. Early lunch.

  • 11:45 AM Continue descent to Jump off point.

  • 02:30 PM ETA Jump off point. Wash up. Depart for Legazpi.

  • 06:00 PM ETA Legazpi. Check in. Dinner.

  • Day 3

  • 06:30 AM Breakfast. Start of Legazpi city tour (Cagsawa ruins, Churches, Waterfalls)

  • 04:00 PM Depart for Manila. (12 hours travel time)

  • Clothes good enough for the trip
  • A good pair of trekking shoes
  • Jacket (It is advised to have 2 jackets a cotton/fleece jacket for the cold and a water proof jacket for when you walk at the camp site.)
  • Rain and Sun Protection (Sun block, shades, rain coat etc.)
  • Head Light
  • Water or rehydration fluids
  • Tupperware/ Eating utensils
  • Snack/ Trail Food
  • Trekking Pole
  • Toiletries (tissue, wet wipes, tooth brush etc.)
  • Camera
  • Personal medications
  • Slippers
  • Deposit slip and remaining balance

  • Book donation (optional. This is for our 1 Book Project. We prefer books for elementary students) 


* Tents are needed. You have an option to rent from us or bring your own.
